Quick Guide to Cycle Speedway Racing
All racing is under rules and regulations of The British Cycling Cycle Speedway Commission. Supplemented when required by the South West Cycle Speedway League.
Races are over four laps
Yellow and black flag donated one lap to go
Chequered flag donates race is finished.
Points awarded as follows:
1st place = 4 pts
2nd place = 3 pts
3rd place = 2 pts
4th place = 1 pt
Non finisher or exclution = 0 pts
One blast on the referee's whistle indicates riders have one minute to reach the start line, unless riders have consecutive races or request for an extra minute has been asked via the pits marshall.
The referee is in sole charge of the meeting and his dicision is final.
Helmets and gloves must be work whilst racing.
Spectators are respectively requested to remain silent whilst the riders are 'Under Starters Orders' for the short 2 to 5 seconds prior to the tapes rising. Thank You.
