Junior Rider - Lee Clarke

Lee is relatively new to cycle speedway, starting half way through the 2008 season. However, he managed 12th in the  British Indoor Finals, so we have great hopes for him next year. Lee rides the blue Ace, enjoys riding his mountain bike and his favourite speedway track is Poole.

 

 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Matt Coulter

Matt is nicknamed the 'Spaniard' or 'Spanish Archer'. His hobbies include biking, Taekwondo (he's a black belt!) and he enjoys MSNing. Matt has been riding for a year and a bit and won his first PL race even though it was only the second match he had raced. Matt rides a steel Archie Wilkinson, his favourite tracks are Poole and Southampton. His favourite rider is Steve Harris.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Callum Cooper

I enjoy racing as I like watching the crashes. My favourite riders are my cousins Rachel Edge and Marco Cooper.  I have been riding for a eyar now and won 3 medals in the South West Junior League Grand Prix.

 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Jake Carter

Jake is 13 years old and rides motorcross, motorcycle speedway and now cycle speedway. He likes to play rugby and football when he is not riding. Jake supports Man UFC (unlike his brother who supports Chelsea!) and he enjoys playing darts nad his playstation (where does he find the time?!). Jake is older brother to Ben and sister Ruby. When Jake is not busy doing sport, he goes to the Oxford Academy in Littlemore.

 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - George Horsley

 

George is 9 years old and goes to Wheatley Primary School and lives in Wheatley. His favourite food is bacon pasta and he follows Liverpool and Rangers. George's fav player is Nacho Novo, number 10 for Rangers. George has named his speedway bike, Nuclear Weapon after one of his Dads fav song.

 
 
 
  
 
 
Junior Rider - Benjamin Carter

Ben is 10 years old and rides for motorcross, motorcycle speedway and cyclespeedway. He plays football for Littlemore Under 10's, and goes to The John Henry Newman School in Littlemore. Ben has an older brother Jake (who also riders for the Horspath Hammers), and he supports Chelsea FC. When he is not riding Benjamin lives on his PS2!

 

 

 

 

 
 Junior Rider - Ben Green

Ben has just completed his first season at Horspath. Ben
 is showing signs of improvement and hopes to ride well in 2009. Ben decided to go along to our cycle speedway practice session for juniors at the end of 2007 and fell in love with the sport. Ben has really enjoyed being part of the team and traveling the south, taking part in Junior Leagues and the South West Combination Team
 
 
  
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Marco Cooper

I love racing, I race to try and win. My favourite riders are Mark Boaler and Rachel Edge. I have been riding for 18 months. In 2008 I came 8th in the British Under 10s Championship and have gained 6 trophies so far.

 
 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Jordan Richardson

Jordan is 10 years old and his been riding at Horspath since July 2008. When he is not riding he enjoys playing football with his mates. His favourite cycle speedway rider is Steve Harris and his favourite club is Horspath!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Jack Currell

Jack is one of our youngest riders at the age of 6! Besides speedway, he also rides a Motorcross bike. Jack goes to Wheatley Primary School and is in to computers and his DS. His sister calls him a Cyber Geek! Jack also supports Manchester United.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Junior Rider - Callum Riordan

Callum is 14 years old and is relatively new to cycle speedway. Rachel Edge (Horpsath's longest standing Junior Rider) mentioned to his family about cycle speedway and he decided to give it a try. Callum also likes fishing, football and his Play Station 3.
 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

Junior Rider - Callum Russell-Sharp


Callum starting cycle speedway approx 8 months ago and is really enjoying his first season racing. He is 13 years old. Callum like football, music, biking and of course, cycle speedway! Callum is one of 3 brothers, who all ride for the Hammers.
